Definition:
Any desk based system that consists of empty shells that can allow for a multitude of layouts and storage options to help maximize the space available in an office. Typically used to create wall to wall or multi person workspaces, when standard desk sizes are not appropriate.
Generally, modular desk systems are relatively easy to reconfigure when changes are needed in the work place.
